THE MISSION

There is a spiritual and moral war going on "for the land" in this Nation, and we, as Christian citizens, are responsible to keep informed, to be involved, and to be good stewards of our heritage, our country, and our government. As believers in Creator God, we are called to prayer for America and her leaders and to be salt and light in demonstrating to the American people the love of God through proper attitude and action.

We cannot be spectators and win this conflict. We are responsible for:

• The future direction of this Nation;
  
• The selection of government leaders;
  
• The coming against the grip of immorality that binds the hearts and minds of our people and is out to destroy or children; and
  
• Going into all the world of government, business, education, environment, and the media to do exploits for God.

The church and the traditional family are the only Christian institutions through which we can win this spiritual and moral cold war. That is why they are under assault. If the family goes, the church fails, and if we compromise our standards, it will not take long until we understand the meaning of slavery.

John Wesley said, "If I had three hundred men who feared nothing but God, hated nothing but sin, and were determined to know nothing among men but Jesus Christ and Him crucified, I would set the world on fire." God-fearing citizens of the first century did set the world on fire, and God has instructed us to "occupy until He comes."

Should the Lord tarry; sacrificial involvement at this critical moment in history will determine the outcome of family life in America.


PURPOSE STATEMENT

Family Concerns, Inc. was created to strengthen the family through the research of local, state, national and international policy and through the education of citizens and leaders in the vital importance of obeying God's laws in our society, and in our culture, and in participating in the government process according to the providential guidance of our Founding Fathers. The Four-Point Purpose of Family Concerns is:

• Research and identify from a biblical perspective issues of concern to the family.
  
• Educate and equip Christians/citizens for effective involvement and service.
  
• Motivate the church and the community to responsible action through every means of communication available;
  
• Help turn America back to the God of the Bible, the God of our Founding Fathers.

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

We believe in the Godhead made up of three Persons; the Father, the Son, and the The Holy Spirit. We believe in the eternal existence of the Lord Jesus Christ as God. We believe in His incarnation and virgin birth, His substitutionary death, and His resurrection from the dead. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, indwells and seals them unto a holy life. We believe because of Adam's fall all men need redemption. We believe that salvation is by grace, that it is a free gift of God apart from works. We believe that repentance is necessary for salvation, and we believe in the return of Jesus Christ to Earth.
