ABERCROMBIE & FITCH PULL CATALOG THANKS TO YOU
Friday , December 05, 2003

This is good news, friends, and it is because of great folks like you that make the phone calls, write the letters, and send the emails.

Because of the pressure from boycott campaigns, Abercrombie & Fitch stores have stopped selling their pornography catalog. This is an excellent decision for Abercrombie & Fitch, but it does not mean it is now safe for your children
to visit their stores.

It does mean those retailers’s got the message and are not selling the promiscuous catalog over the counter, but it is still being distributed by subscription.

Their shopping bags continue to have pictures of women half naked and the company’s “Christmas Field Guide” tells teens that there are no sexual boundaries and no consequences to any sexual behavior.”

As I shared in an earlier commentary there are 45 portrayals of sexual imagery
in the first 100 pages of the December catalog and a “sexpertise” column that focuses children on graphic sex. The slipcover on the catalog offers “280 pages of Moose, Ice Hockey, Chivalry, group sex and more…” Masturbation is promoted as an alternative to group sex. Sex at the movies is suggested, “just as long as you do not disturb those around you.”

An employee who spoke to a reporter with the National Review confirmed that Abercrombie and Fitch had pulled the Christmas issue of the catalog from stores beginning the Thanksgiving week.

The company had received more than 300 calls per hour from people declaring they would boycott the store.

We are grateful to everyone who responded to the alarm from groups like Focus on the Family, the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families, and those of you who responded to our radio commentary.

This is the only way we can claim back our culture. It is by taking a stand, boycotting, and making those who want to profit from destroying the morals of our children pay a price.

Thank you for doing your part.

“…remember the words spoken before of the Apostles…how that they told you there would be mockers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts.” Jude: 18
