| INVITATION
TO TEN COMMANDMENTS RALLY
IN HABERSHAM COUNTY, GEORGIA
Dear Friend;
Our nation is in a moral crisis. The issues confronting us have
reached a boiling point in the Ten Commandments struggle across
our land.
We stand with the Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore of Alabama
that the display of the Ten Commandments in public buildings is
Constitutional.
We believe:
1) That the legal system can acknowledge God as the moral foundation
of our laws;
2) That the First Amendment does not prohibit states from acknowledging
God;
3) That states may exercise individual sovereignty; and
4) That there comes a time when citizens must disobey an unlawful
authority.
We do strongly believe in the Rule of Law to obey lawful authority.
But at the same time, we believe the Rule of Law means we are called
to disobey unlawful authority. The law must restrain both citizens
and those in authority, if not anarchy or tyranny will certainly
arise.
The battle over the Ten Commandments is not about religion, a term
defined by our Founders as “the duty we owe to our Creator
and the manner for discharging it.” The battle is over acknowledging
God in our nation. We oppose the historic cleansing of our Christian
Roots in America. We oppose losing the laws that govern decent human
conduct.
May we guard diligently against the loss of our religious freedom
and Christian heritage.
