RIGHTS AND JUDGE ROY MOORE’S POEM
Tuesday, August 26, 2003
There is a process – like another road map that is succeeding
in the removing
of all vestiges of religion from public life. Chief Justice Moore
is fighting not just for the displaying of the Ten Commandments,
but that God is acknowledged in our culture.
Judge Moore is now suspended from the bench because he lifted God
up higher than the state.
But his suspension is another milestone for the separation of church
and state crowd who seem to forget that God says in His Word, “Blessed
is the Nation
who’s God is the Lord.”
Most religious displays have been under legal attack for years
now. the lawsuits and the attacks are “in your face”
and closer in number. America is looking more and more like the
former Soviet Union.
States are losing the right to allow children to pray in school
or read the Bible,
or keep “under God” in the Pledge. States are loosing
the right to view the Ten Commandments in the classroom or in public
buildings – yet the tax payers
build the buildings. States are losing their rights to make decisions
like protecting children from pornography. The courts are now making
the unconstitutional decisions for the states.
Following is a copy of a poem written by Judge Roy Moore. Hear
his words that
cry out to God for help and mercy for a nation that has forgotten
God.
“AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL”
America
the Beautiful, or so you used to be,
Land of the Pilgrims pride;
I’m glad they’ll never see. Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand, oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine, Choosing to indulge
their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From
the sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away from the teaching of God’s love and
a need to always pray.
So many worldly preachers tell lies about the Rock,
Saying God is broke so they can fleece the flock.
We’ve kept God in temples, how callous we have grown. When
earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We’ve
voted in a government that’s rotting at the core, appointing
Godless Judges
who throw reason out the door,
too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb,
but brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.
You
think that God’s not angry,
that our land’s a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?
How
are we to face our God,
from whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide? If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
seek His holy face and mend our evil way;
then God will hear from Heaven
and forgive us of our sins,
He’ll heal our sickly land and those who live within.
But, America the Beautiful,
if you don’t then you will see,
A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee.
Judge Roy Moore
May we intercede with prayers of repentance for our nation.
