ITS TIME TO TEAR DOWN THAT WALL OF SEPARATION
Friday, August 22, 2003

If you are hearing and reading that Chief Justice Roy Moore of Alabama had the Ten Commandments installed in the rotunda of the Supreme Court building in the middle of the night, you have not heard the truth.

The story appears to tell the public that Roy Moore is dishonest. Rick Scarborough of Vision America has a different story, and it is that because the Ten Commandments weighed 5,300 lbs., they had to wait until the courthouse was closed to install the monument. It then took more men and much more time to lift and put the monument in place. When the job was finished, it was in the night.

Moore is also criticized for not alerting his fellow justices of the move. But he has said he kept them uninformed so that they would not be named as defendants in a possible lawsuit.

It is now August 21st. The monument was to have been removed by midnight, August 20th. At 12:00 there was a crowd assembled in front of the courthouse singing “God bless America.” They were there to make sure Federal agents didn’t storm the courthouse and roll away the monument.

Remember how Elian Gonzalez was whisked away in the middle of the night by Janet Reno and her thugs? People no longer trust the Federal Government.

They know what the Federal Government can do and what it has already done. Were we able to bring the young Cuban boy back to live in America? No, what was
done was over. The people had no say and Federalism and Socialism won.
Let’s face it. Our Christian principles have
been removed in front of our eyes.

In 1963 The Supreme Court of the U.S. prohibited the saying of a simple non-denominational prayer in public schools.

In 1963 the Supreme Court banned Bible teachings in public schools.

In 1980 the Supreme Court ordered public schools to remove the Ten Commandments from student views.

Chief Justice Moore of Alabama is fighting to keep the Ten Commandments in public view but there are those who want to protect America from the so-called “ancient superstitions” of its Christian people. Soon the Federal Government will come for “In God we trust” as our National motto. “Under God” in our Pledge has already been attacked and removed in some areas.

So who or what will the U.S. be “under”?  Will we be a nation under a dictatorship like the former Soviet Union who recognized no authority higher than it’s own state? We will if the atheists, and the ACLU, with the help of the secular media, attain power in America.

Roy Moore’s stand in support of the Ten Commandment should inspire all of us to stand up and speak out. We must demand that the Federal Government reestablish the vanishing godly principles that recognize that our rights come from God and not from the government and that we are a nation under God.

It’s time that Christians in one accord demand that our leaders tear down that “wall of separation” invented by the “hard left” to destroy America.  The God who gave us life gave us liberty. We must claim it and answer to a higher law.
