NANCY
SCHAEFER BECOMES CANDIDATE OF THE NEW 50th DISTRICT .
Wednesday, April 6, 2004
Dear Friends,
These are desperate days in America and if we are not diligent,
watchful, and involved in every area, we will become victims of
a deliberate liberal takeover of our beloved country by those who
are willing to compromise our U.S. Constitution, and sovereignty,
and replace them with international law.
This anti-America and anti-Christian agenda is also behind the
homosexual strategy to force American families and their children
into affirming the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transsexual behaviors.
Thankfully, the State of Georgia passed S.R. 595, the Georgia Marriage
Amendment to the State Constitution, with two votes above the constitutional
two-thirds majority that was needed to send the measure to the Georgia
voters to ratify in November at the ballot box.
This was a hard fought victory by many Georgians, and it was close.
There were those, who for reasons of greed, liberal bias, and lack
of understanding of the consequences, voted against the ban on homosexual
marriages.
At the same time the Federal District Court for the Northern District
of Georgia released the final version of legislative maps to be
used in the 2004 election. These redrawn maps placed 8 counties
into a new 50th District. It is an open seat.
With much encouragement, prayer, and affirmation, I have placed
my name in the running as a candidate for the new district. My residence
is in the center of the new 50th District. I believe with all my
heart that we must put things on hold and sacrifice for the next
generation. Many of you have children and grandchildren. So do I.
I believe we must protect their freedom, their faith, and their
families.
So I will be leaving many of you by radio for a while. I feel God’s
call on my life to make this commitment to be a candidate for the
50th District Senate seat, and I urge you to become involved on
any level God calls you. Our Christian worldview must be heard and
we must be at the table.
I love and appreciate each of you and I thank you for being there.
The counties that I will serve as a State Senator if I am successful
are Towns, Rabun, Habersham, Stephens, Banks, Franklin, Hart, and
a portion of White County.
If you would like to be involved please contact me by: email at

God bless you.
