EDUCATION IN AMERICA - PART 5
Tuesday, March 30 , 2004

In yesterday’s message I was describing to you some of the content of the New Civics textbook “We The People: The Citizen And The Constitution.”The old Civics textbooks embraced The Declaration of Independence and explicitly taught that the people of the United States give power to the government and that our rights come from Creator God not from the State. The New Civics advocates global government and global citizenship where rights are granted by the government.

The U.S. Constitution was written to protect us from the very concepts presented in the new Civics, which are pertinent to dictatorships. The New Civics depicts the Bill of Rights as “negative rights” and socialist democracies have “positive constitutionalism” such as the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The new Civics textbook even goes so far as to state that Eastonia, a communist country is a better model for the new century. As a matter of fact, National Sovereignty is never mentioned in the textbook that partners with the New Civics.

Now the U.S. Department of Education has granted $1.2 million to implement the U.N.’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program to U.S. schools to help foster an IB, high school program in low-income school districts.

1,450 schools in 115 countries have adopted the IB’s curriculum and that includes 502 U.S. schools. It is my understanding that the U.S. Education Department will extend the IB concept into Arizona, Massachusetts, and New York.

This is Education Socialism and it affects the future of this nation. It is not world-class education as Education Secretary, Rod Paige calls it. Its educational propaganda implemented into U.S. schools and is paid for by taxpayer dollars, without parental knowledge.

Students in either the New Civics, “We The People: The Citizen And The Constitution” and the U.N.’s International Baccalaureate program will never grasp an understanding of our Federal Republic, our Constitution, or of our Declaration of Independence. They will never comprehend what limited government means or the importance of National Sovereignty.

According to Henry Lamb, Chairman of Sovereignty International, a 1949 UNESCO textbook, titled “Toward World Understanding” taught teachers to teach these unbelievable words: “As long as the child breathes the poisoned air of nationalism, education in world mindedness can produce only rather precarious results.…it is frequently the family that infects the child with extreme nationalism,” Dr. Robert Muller, a U.N. deputy secretary – general in the 1960’s prepared a World Core Curriculum that prepared a child to see himself as part of “the greater whole.”

Our children must be taught the difference between capitalism and socialism.
