JOHN ASHCROFT DEMANDS RECORDS FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD

Attorney General John Ashcroft is requiring records of abortions performed on hundreds of women at six Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country.

In a motion for discovery filed against Planned Parenthood Federation of America and subpoenas filed at the same time against Planned Parenthood affiliates in several locations, John Ashcroft is demanding medical records of abortions performed in the last year, some on fetuses aborted early in the second trimester.

Vice President, Elizabeth Toledo, of Planned Parenthood Federation is very upset about this plan and has claimed invasion into medical privacy. She told ABC News that he was “overzealous in his desire to attack access to legal abortions.”

“Not true”, says the Justice Department and here is why:. Following President Bush’s signing into law the ban on the procedure “partial-birth” abortion, Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department saying the ban was unconstitutional because sometimes the procedure is medically necessary.

Friends, this partial birth abortion procedure is to never medically necessary to save the life of the mother..

The Justice Department wants the records now from Planned Parenthood to see if
the partial birth abortions were actually necessary. And the Justice Department
has also subpoenaed medical records from five university hospitals due to a lawsuit filed by a group of doctors.

If there is nothing to cover up, why try to hide the records?

Ashcroft is just doing his job and it is not easy. I remember how the liberals,
the pro-abortionists, the pornography pushers, and the homosexuals did every-thing in their power to keep him from becoming the U.S. Attorney General.

Today, even at this moment, urgent prayer is needed for John Ashcroft. He is in the intensive care unit at George Washington University Hospital. He is suffering with a severe case of gallstone pancreatitis, a dangerous illness.

Take a moment if you will, and pray for complete healing of our godly Attorney General. I remember having lunch with John Ashcroft when he was considering a campaign for President. When he spoke – Scripture fell from his lips.

I’m sure the enemy of our faith opposes John Ashcroft as the powerful Attorney General. He needs your prayers and God’s healing.
