CITIZENS MEET AT THE CAPITOL TO SUPPORT THE DEFENSE OF MARRIAGE ACT

The Georgian State Senate passed legislation 40 to 14 to add the state’s ban on same- sex marriage to the Georgia Constitution. The legislation is entitled; the Georgia Defense of Marriage Act (S.R. 595).  The Resolution now goes to
the House of Representatives and has already been assigned to the Rules Committee which is made up of 30 Democrats and 8 Republicans.

In order to be placed on the ballot this November, it will take 120 votes in the House of Representatives.

The 30 member House Rules Committee was asked last week how they would vote on Senate Resolution 595, which would defend marriage in the state Constitution as a union between a man and a woman. Here are the results: 15 for the Resolution, 3 against, 3 undecided, 7 would not say and 2 could not be reached.

This is not an issue on which to be partisan. The future of this nation is at stake. The soul of this nation is at stake. Think of families and children. To endorse same-sex marriage we remove the structure and order of our society.

Think what endorsing same-sex marriage will bring upon our culture. All boundaries will be removed. Polygamy, bestiality, incest, and you name it will be screaming to be legalized.

For all of you living in Georgia and in nearby states, your presence is needed
at the Georgia Capitol to support the Marriage Amendment, S.R. 595. This
is a gathering of people just like yourself who believe marriage is defined as one man and one woman.

The gathering is scheduled for Monday, March 1, at 12:00 - noon. It is a very important that you attend as homosexual activists are daily lobbying at the Capitol against this bill.

If you can’t be at the Capitol in person on March 1, at 12:00 – noon, you can call 404-656-5024 and register your support of S.R. 595 going to to a full vote on the floor of the House.

Hopefully, the pendulum is swinging back to the right. Hopefully, we have had enough of the liberal platforms whose goal is to legalize same-sex marriage.

Homosexuality is an unnatural perverted behavior. Therefore, same-sex marriage flies in the face of common sense and decency.

The time is now for you to make your voice heard.
