| TWO
CHILDREN PER FAMILY IN AMERICA?
Monday, February 16, 2004
A lawmaker in Washington State is proposing legislation to urge
parents to have no more than two children. This is hard to believe
in light of the fact that China’s deplorable one child per
family policy has not only been criticized around the world but
has also been a failure!
Women in communist China who were found to be pregnant with a second
child were hauled into a clinic and made to endure forced abortions
or forced sterilization. Since boy babies were more desired, little
girl babies were left to die beside roads or on tables in clinics.
Today the ratio of girl babies to boy babies is out of whack and
there are not enough women to go around.
When I was in Beijing, China at the U.N. World Conference on Women,
I saw many families limited to only one child. Who in the world
is important enough to make the decision that children should not
have brothers and sisters?
The lawmaker in the state of Washington who is the sponsor of the
Two or Fewer Bill is State Rep. Maralyn Chase. She aims to promote
population sustainability. The bill calls for a pamphlet to be distributed
by Washington’s health department spelling out the presumed
benefits of having no more than two children.
Chase is a Democrat from Seattle and she claims that if the bill
gains support
she would put the bill to a vote in the next legislature session.
Does Rep. Chase not know that 43 million babies have been aborted
in America? Does she not realize that the population crisis which
was forced upon all Americans, and which was a lie, caused men and
women to limit the size of their families needlessly?
Sustainability is a U.N. term that translates into this definition:
The earth is over populated, therefore, the population must be reduced
and resources must be reserved. The U.N. desires to be the “caretaker”
of all the earth including all the resources such as food, water,
and energy.
Let me say here there is no population crisis. The U.N. has a way
of developing their solution, then creating the crisis. Also, it’s
a good thing that Al Gore has not been president. If he had we would
all have been subject to the United Nations by now.
Someone needs to set Representative Chase of Washington State straight.
“Children are a blessing from the Lord.”
