TERRIORIST FUNDRAISER IN WASHINGTON?

The Congressional Houses Administration Chairman Robert Ney (R- OH) is on his toes. He has asked Attorney General John Ashcroft to investigate a charity event to be held in Washington because of ties to an Iranian terrorist group backed by Saddam Hussein.

The so-called charity event is to be held at the Washington Convention Center and it is billed as “a night of solidarity with Iran.”

The organizers, led by the Iranian American Society of Northern Virginia, hope
to raise $140,000 and they say it is to help the earthquake victims in Bam, Iran.

Several of the sponsoring groups are tied to the Mujahedin and the fundraiser may be planning to provide support for global terrorism. Think of the many gods this represents.

According to Ney, he has asked the Attorney General to investigate. “The Mujahedin,” claims Ney, “are hiding behind the earthquake victims and that they are false groups.

According to Sam Dealey, who writes for “The Hill” in Washington, the Department of Homeland Security and the F.B.I. were not aware of the
event and declined to comment.

One official with the event said the money raised would be donated to the American Red Cross, but the Red Cross has pulled out of the event.

The U.S. Intelligence community alleges the Mujahedin community was responsible for the deaths of at least six American servicemen and civilians in Iran during the 1970’s and actively participated in the 1979 U.S. Embassy seizure in Tehran.

When they fell from grace from Khomeini, they took refuge in Baghdad under Saddam.

There are sponsoring groups in Missouri, Colorado, Texas, and Southern California, all with ties to the Mujahedin.

Loyola University says it was fraudulently listed as a sponsor but they do not support the group according to the University spokesman, Bud Jones.

It appears the charity event is to raise money for the political purposes of the terrorist group-Mujahedin.

This is why prayers for the protection of this nation are so urgent. God can and
will reveal these dangerous groups if we will turn to Him with all our heart and
pray for His protection.
