THE CHALLENGE

Why Christians Must Be Involved in issues of Family Concerns

Involvement - Commitment - Sacrifice. These descriptive words are synonymous with God's charge for Christians to be "salt and light" in a dark and dying world. In a general sense, this charge to Christians is one of preservation and courage to principles put forth in God's Word. In our contemporary society we are confronted with ethical, moral, and policy issues that directly impact and challenge our basic Christian precepts.
Some of these are:

  • God and prayer removed from public schools.
  • Abortion on demand (Baby body parts for sale).
  • Secular humanism and evolution taught in public schools and supported by the government.
  • Homosexuality accepted by society and by government as an acceptable alternative lifestyle and promoted in the public school system.
  • Pornography - a multi-billion dollar business and the staggering abuses resulting from it on our culture.
  • Alcoholism and drug abuse that continues to rise at an unprecedented rate.
  • Tobacco companies targeting our youth and the weak of the world for financial greed.
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) sky-rocketing - especially the incurable disease of AIDS now at epidemic proportions.
  • Violence, a national problem linked to television, videos, movies, and aggressive sexual behavior.
  • Child exploitation - 2.5 million children photographed for child pornography on the Internet, for pornographic magazines, videos, movies, and for child prostitution. 75,000 children kidnapped and murdered annually.
  • Potential gun control that will leave Americans unprotected and disarmed
  • Weakening of 2nd Amendment Rights private property rights, parental rights, and National Defense through United Nations treaties and conferences.
  • United Nations global governance including the potential World Criminal Court and global tax.

"For the Wicked shall not rule the Godly lest the Godly be forced to do wrong." Psalms 125:3 T.L.B.
